One of the very best parts about Thanksgiving break is going out shopping on Black Friday. I don't know or even understand why I find it fun to stand in freezing cold weather with hundreds of other people just to get a toy that is 10 dollars off. In years past I have found myself running through the store trying to reach those sale items before the other customers. This year, however, I decided to take a much different approach. Walmart, yes the store where a worker was trampled to death last year, opened at five this morning. Instead of waiting in line for an hour I slept in a little longer and went at 5:30. I must say that Walmart, at least the store I went to, did an excellent job! With the store map I was able to find my items easily and surprisingly enough they still had what I needed to get. The checkout lines at Walmart today were also a nice and welcoming surprise! Carrie and I waited only 10 minutes to make it though the line!!
I love the day after thanksgiving!! Shopping, movie and setting up the tree with my wonderful husband!
